Wimbledon activities for an ace summer

Show your health some love with our simple and healthy Wimbledon activities.

If you are planning a tennis-themed party or just want to build some healthy habits, we have served up some delicious recipes to give your wellbeing a boost this summer.

Simple, summer strawberries

Strawberries are an iconic Wimbledon treat. Best enjoyed on their own or with a splash of low-fat cream, they make delicious treats for grown-ups and little ones.

For something a little different, why not try our dairy-free strawberry and coconut ice-cream? It uses coconut milk and fresh strawberries for a tasty but healthy treat.

And if sweet isn’t for you, add some strawberries to a fresh salad. You’ll need cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It will make a great centre piece for your party.

Make your own mocktail

Drinking a glass of Pimm’s on Henman Hill is an iconic Wimbledon image.

Our alcohol-free version is easy enough to make at home – and provides a healthier, fruiter take on the classic drink.

Mix berries, cucumber, mint and lemonade to create the iconic taste in your own kitchen. And because it is alcohol-free, it can be enjoyed by little ones too!

Match point

If you are looking for Wimbledon activities to get the whole family involved in, the most obvious is to give tennis a go! Tennis clubs often provide discounted sessions while Wimbledon is on to encourage people to give the sport a go.

But playing tennis isn’t for everyone – and it’s not really practical to play it in your own garden!

The Lawn Tennis Association has created an activity pack for children to try. They can learn some tennis exercises or try some tennis-themed arts and crafts.

And for adults, bring some smiles to your party with some sporty games. See how many times you can bounce a tennis ball on a racket – or use them for an egg and spoon race.
