Fun passionfruit spritz facts

Spritz cocktails date back to the 1800s in Venice, where soldiers would dilute the wine with a spray – or ‘spritzen’ – of water.

However, the passionfruit spritz owes as much to Brazil as it does to Italy. The fruit is native to South America – where Brazil began experimenting with it in cocktails in the 1940s.
