Am I eligible?

  • You must be aged 40-74 and not had an NHS Health Check in the last five years

Exclusions:

  • Anyone taking statins
  • Anyone on the High-Risk register – previous checks have found that you have a 20% or higher risk of getting cardiovascular disease over the next 10 years
  • Anyone with the following conditions: coronary heart disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, previous stroke, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, transient ischaemic attack (TIA), peripheral arterial disease or familial hypercholesterolemia

To be eligible for your free check up, you must:

- Be a Buckinghamshire resident or be registered with a GP in the county 
- Be aged between 40 and 74 
- Not have had a health check in 5 years 
- Not have pre-existing health conditions as you should already have regular check-ups with a GP.
